Halloween Disney Cruise

This year for Halloween we decided to take Mady on a three night Disney cruise to the Bahamas. Since we had Friday off from school, it worked out perfectly and we left work early on Thursday. Kaitlyn stayed with my mom and the three of us took off on vacation.

Our ship!

We were upgraded to a verandah suite which was awesome, but we were so busy the entire time that we really didn't go out on the verandah unless we were taking pictures.

Some pictures out on the verandah.

The sailaway party was awesome and all the characters came out and sang and danced as we sailed out of Port Canaveral. Each night we ate dinner in a different dining room that had its own theme and then went to a show in the theater. The shows were amazing and Mady loved them all. She really liked Toy Story the Musical and now loves the Toy Story characters. She also loved the Dreams Come True show with all of the princesses.

Speaking of princesses, we met so many of them on the ship. They had character greetings all day and night and we made sure to go to as many as possible. The photographers take all the pictures and then you can take your own, so by the end of the cruise we had tons of pictures.

For Halloween, the ship celebrated on Friday night instead of Saturday night. Mady dressed up as Alice from Alice in Wonderland and we got a map of all the stations to visit on the ship. It was like a scavenger hunt and Mady had a blast, not to mention, got a lot of candy!

Chip and Dale in their Halloween costumes!

Halloween decorations all over the ship.

We also had pirate night on the cruise and all the characters came dressed in their pirate costumes. They even had fireworks that we shot off the ship. Mady was scared so Jacob and I went out on the verandah and watched them.

Minnie on pirate night.

The ship was amazing and had a Mickey pool, as well as a Goofy pool and an adult-only pool. Mady had a blast playing in the pools on the day we were in Nassau. Since we were just there in July, we decided to stay on the ship. This was great because we had the pools basically to ourselves.

On Saturday we visited Disney's private island Castaway Cay. We floated on mats in the clear water and had lunch. It was a beautiful day with lots of sun!

We can't wait to go on another Disney cruise. It was definitely geared towards families and children who love all things Disney. We are planning on going on another one when KK turns 3 in 2012, it will probably take us that long to save up for another one!
